The tabloids have been abuzz for several months now concerning Jessica Simpson and her new guy pal she’s been seen spending a lot of time with - John Mayer. Well, it turns out that New Years eve ended all of that speculations when the two were caught in a full-blown makeout session at bash thrown by Christina Aguilera. The New York Daily News reported, “he was scratching her back, they were kissing, it wasn’t subtle.” According to eyewitnesses after the overly “friendly” embrase, the two headed over to the Stereo nightclub for some more partying.

Simpson has been dodging allegations of the affair for several months, and it comes as no surpise as she recently formally her relationship with former 98Degree member Nick Lachey. While the relationship seems to have not been so much a secret as the two would have liked, you’ll have to give the two their credit in keeping everyone in suspence for so long.
